- Bethlehem Shoals on J.R. Smith and Tyson Chandler at The Classical.
- A Jeremy Lin show on NPR with Phil Taylor, Jay Caspian Kang, Frank Isola, and Lin’s shooting coach.
- Dan Levy says that the Knicks are Regis Philbin and Jeremy Lin is Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
- Jeremy Lin isn’t the only PG giving his coach what he desperately needed. Keith Smart on Isaiah Thomas, who had 23 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds (all career highs!) in the starting lineup last night: “He’s developing and doing a great job with his game. We’re moving the ball very well and the point of attack has been a little more secure with him playing there. I needed a director on the floor and he’s been that. Two games of doing this, we’ve been close in both games and so the progress for him is very, very well for him and I’m proud of what he’s doing. And he’s given me what I needed, a lead guy on the floor to kind of direct and put people in the right spots but also be a vocal guy.”
- The people of Philadelphia are not happy with the way last night’s Wolves/Sixers game ended. Judge for yourself.
- I am a total sap, so I dug seeing Kevin Durant embrace his mother, grandmother, and brother at the end of the game last night. Via Darnell Mayberry, here he is talking about what it was like to score 51 in front of them: “They’ve been there with me ever since I was 8 trying to play this game,” Durant said. “To score 50 points with them on the sideline at the highest level of basketball, man, is just a dream come true. It’s a blessing. To go through it with them is pretty cool. To be honest, I didn’t think I would be at this point when I was young. Everything has just been a whirlwind for me. I’m just happy that I’m here.”
- Man, it has been a rough year for Glen Davis. Feel for him.
- Via SB Nation DC, here’s Nick Young crashing a wedding.
- Steve Nash has lots of smart things to say about John Wall.
- This is both the second Nick Young link and second Michael Lee link of the day. It’s about how Young is a barometer for the Wizards’ success. The use of [gun] in a Randy Wittman quote cracks me up.
- Ekpe Udoh needs to play a lot more.
- From John Schuhmann’s excellent, stat-heavy power rankings: “Remember when Ricky Rubio was the star in Minnesota? Now it’s the Pek and Love Show. The two bigs have averaged 48 points and 29 rebounds combined over the last five games.” I would watch The Pek and Love Show.
