- Instead of individually linking you to the latest and greatest Jeremy Lin posts, I’ll direct you to Linstapaper.com.
- From Chad Ford’s chat: “A bit of a confession here. I like Lin at Harvard but then saw him in a two day workout in Vegas before the draft and thought he was overmatched and not ready for the NBA. I predicted he wouldn’t be drafted and frankly, thought he shouldn’t be drafted. Lin wasn’t happy with the column and posted a picture of me in his locker to motivate him. Clearly that worked out for him. I was sort of right (he wasn’t drafted and based on his rookie D-League performance wasn’t ready) and totally wrong. Lin is a really good basketball player and I completely whiffed on him. I didn’t see this coming. I’m happy for him. Proves that hard work pays off if you don’t give up on your dream.”
- I linked a couple of these Lin drawings the other week without knowing where they came from — you absolutely must check out Joe Petruccio’s Knicks blog. He adds new artwork after each game. Also, here’s Ben Cohen’s article on him from last May.
- Colin McGowan has become one of my favorite writers in the blogosphere. “Man on Fire” is his reflection on LeBron’s comments about potentially returning to Cleveland.
- Danny Chau on the Spurs and King of the Hill. Predictably great.
- Davis of Pounding the Rock on Popovich’s decision to rest his stars last night.
- Zach got his Pruiti on at A Wolf Among Wolves.
- I’m with Ethan — either Stephen Curry or Monta Ellis has to go, so just choose already.
- What’s up with the Sixers?
- Really enjoyed both Dan Sinclair and Jared Dubin’s pieces on Shaun Livingston. Not just linking this because Livingston is one of my favorites, this is good stuff.
- Remember Shawn Respert? Given his story, can’t think of a better guy to have as a player development coach.
- From Jordan Brenner’s ESPN The Mag piece on how the Thunder built a contender, here’s a great Westbrook quote from Scott Brooks: “I like when Russell puts his emotion out on Front Street. I want him to be on the court, showing that he’s angry that a guy’s getting scored on or our defensive coverage broke down. Russell is an incredible young man who has improved a lot in four years here. He may not be your point guard, but he’s my point guard.”
- Roland Lazenby on Chicago radio, talking about the Lakers, Phil Jackson, the Bulls, and the Clippers.
